It’s coming up to the end of a school year like no other. Children, parents and most of all teachers have had a tough time more than ever this year with the challenge of educating in a global pandemic. Personally, as odd, worrying and surreal this past year has been with Covid I am thankful that I am neither a child, parent of school age children or a teacher in this past year. I take my hat off to all of you who have had to navigate home schooling, online teaching and all of the changing rules life that has become reality. For those reasons I thought I would put together a gift guide for teachers as a way to say thank you for their support this school year.
Now if there is a group of people more befitting of the ‘stationery addict’ title than teachers I am yet to hear of them. Teachers and stationery go hand in hand like salt and pepper or cheese and wine (I obviously had to use food references!) so I’m starting with some stationery products and why your teacher will love them BUT i’m also sharing a few products from other small businesses that I love and I think make thoughtful thank you gifts.
A bundle of notecards with envelopes is a lovely gift for a teacher, they will love writing on these textured notecards with their favorite pen (they will have a favourite pen, ask them).
MEAL PLANNER AND SHOPPING LIST
Teachers spend most of their time organizing lessons and marking homework they probably don't have much time to organise their own lives. Give them a helping hand by buying them a meal planner for them to make life easier when it comes to cooking and feeding their family.
In the same vain, the shopping list notepad also makes a perfect gift for teachers, they will thank you for this when they come home from the supermarket in the first time in forever without forgetting a single item.
Do you know a forgetful teacher? Give them a helping hand with this cute scribble pad, handy to keep on their desk or bag for those 'must not forget' tasks.
If stationery isn't the gift you want to give at the end of term this year take look at my other suggestions, these are all small businesses that I know would appreciate your support.
