Hello, I'm Sarah, that's me in the photo at my first ever market. I'm the person behind Ink & Spoon, yes person, it's just me, no big team here, I do it all or at least try. That can be anything from designing new things, ordering packaging, working on the website, packing your orders, marketing, accounts, socials, the list goes on. It's the beauty of running a small business, you get to do everything and have full control but at the same time you have to do EVERYTHING! ha ha
It's a good job I'm a stationery addict so I'm never in short supply of a notebook, list pad and good pen to keep me organised.
Let me tell you a little bit about Ink & Spoon and where it started.
In a nutshell I design stationery and things to help you get organised and stay organised in the kitchen mainly. I make meal planning easy with my notepads designed to help you plan your weekly meals and do your weekly shop. Plus my weekly email newsletter brings your a quick and simple midweek meal idea for you to add to your meal planner.
Why seasonal stationery you are probably wondering? Well I'm naturally a very organised person, I LOVE food and cannot live without stationery so this feels like a very natural fit for me and my dream of running my own business.
My initial idea was to start a calligraphy business, which I also kind of run now on the side of this (www.whatsarahinks.co.uk) but it did start off as the main event. After exploring my niche and how I could make my business different from the other talented calligraphy and stationery people out there I realised that combining my love of food and stationery was the way to go. Hence the food inspired designs on my range of notepads and notecards.
I have big plans to branch out into other items for the home and kitchen as well as a gift box offering so watch this space there is definitely more to come.
